The volleyball team defeated Marion and celebrated our senior girls on October 22, 2025. The freshman girls won as did the JV team. The varsity won the first set 25−23 and, because they played so well, won the second set 25−21. But the real reason why we watch the game is our senior girls, Maggie Caby, Erin Liefer, and Camryn Wolff.
Introducing our first senior, Maggie Caby. She started playing volleyball in third grade and liked playing, and that’s how she got into the sport. Caby is an outside hitter, meaning her favorite part is hitting and getting a good kill. Her favorite memory is playing volleyball with her sister, Marlie Caby. The most memorable win was against Red Bud, because it was an intense game, going to three sets. Caby’s goal was to get 700 hits; she only got 600, but still broke the school’s record. She doesn’t plan on playing volleyball in college, but she did enjoy her senior year. Caby says that her teammates were like her family. Along with volleyball, she was involved in cheer, softball, FCA, SADD, student council, National Honor Society, Hive, and Interact Club. Maggie was a great player and teammate to everyone.
Our next senior, Erin Liefer, started playing eight years ago, loved it, and thought it was fun to play. Liefer’s position was playing middle and blocker. Her favorite memory is having fun with her teammates at practices and games. The most memorable memory is winning against Red Bud because it’s fun to beat them. Liefer doesn’t plan to play in college, but did enjoy her senior year. Erin’s goals weren’t met, due to losing at conference, but she said that they had a lot of good games that they won. Erin is also involved in SADD, FCA, National Honor Society, track and field, and band. Erin is a great person to be around.
Last, but not least, senior Camryn Wolff. She started playing volleyball in third grade, following in her parent’s footsteps. Her favorite part is having fun playing as a libero. Her favorite memory is beating Westlin in her sophomore year, because it brought out her passion for volleyball. Wolff doesn’t plan to play in college, but did enjoy her senior year. Along with volleyball, she was also involved in softball, National Honor Society, SADD, FAC, and Hive.
All three senior girls had a lot of fun this year and wish that the younger girls would continue playing.
