Student Council held their annual Trunk or Treat event on Halloween night for trick-or-treaters. Student Council members look forward to this event every year because it is so much fun for everyone. All members dress up, set up their own table for a club they belong to, and then hand out candy to any kids that come by.

The tables that were at the event included: Student Council, Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, Freshman, Randolph County Birth to Three Program, Tabletop Gaming, CGS Office, CHS Office, The Hive, SADD, Interact Club, and K-Pop club.

About five hundred and thirty kids attended, and five hundred votes were cast on the tables. As kids came through the line, they received a ticket, which they would put in a coffee can that was on the end of each table. When they did this, their ticket would be counted as one vote in the contest against those who had the best table for that year. This year, Juniors placed first, Sophomores in second, and CGS Office in third. It was definitely a huge success.

Many kids showed up, and all the members had so much fun passing out candy. It was so much fun to see all the cool and creative costumes that people came up with. From Winnie the Pooh to inflatable dinosaurs to Michael Myers, they were so creative and fun to see! We encourage everyone to come to the Student Council’s Halloween event, it’s not only the spookiest but it’s also the most fun night of the year.
