This year, the Senior Football players continued their tradition of holding the Impact Project. Each player gets to pick a teacher or special person who had a great impact on their life.
Morgan Miers chose Mrs Peters, CGS Teacher. Miers says, “She was my speech teacher and the nicest person to me, the best teacher. She always believed in me, and I played football with her son. She cheered us both on, both she and Jaord did. The impact was that she played a big role in my life to get me to where I am at, if it wasn’t for her, my speech wouldn’t be as good as it is now. She inspired me to keep playing football and not to let people bother you.”
Trayton Peters chose his dad. Peters says, “He has been my coach for many of my sports all my life. He has always expected the best out of me and pushed me to be the best. He has helped me become the person I am and motivates me to do my best.”
Brayden Juenger also chose his dad. Juenger says, “My dad has always inspired me to work as hard as I can and to have discipline. He has taught me how to play with heart and pick up others every time I step on the field and off the field as well. He is always there for me and is always trying to make me a better person.”
Ethan Colvis chose his dad, Matt Colvis. Colvis says, “I chose him because he has always supported me and always pushed me to do my best. Even when he was hard on me and I didn’t understand why he was pushing me to become a better player and person. I understand now why he was always so hard on me and that he loves me very much. I am very thankful for him.”
Isaac Sims chose his dad, Timothy Sims. Sims says, “He’s the wisest dude I know”.
Reed Creason chose his dad, Tommy Creason.
Jakob Stueve chose his dad, Kody Stueve.
Derrius Shoemate chose his grandfather.
Trevor Keeton chose Mrs Mueller, CHS Teacher.
Caleb Coffey chose his grandpa, Mike Coffey.
