I am a sophomore at Chester High School. I’m on the dance team and in band, FCA, swing choir and concert choir. I started writing poems the beginning of my freshman year but I just started sharing them this year.

When I was writing this poem, I was thinking about how we know we should give but its not always easy. It can be very hard to give sometimes because you don’t fully know what or how you can give. In my opinion giving is the best thing someone can do, but its hard for me because when I give I tend to either give too much or too little.

Giving Everything

The worst part of giving is I don’t know what to give.
Without giving how are you supposed to live?
I’ll give you everything I have to keep,
even if its my soul you seek.
When giving makes you feel like a fool
but without it, life will just seem dull…
Giving is the best thing to do.
Whenever you can’t, everything will feel blue.
Even when giving feels wrong,
it will always make you strong.
When you give your life away
you’ll feel better everyday.
As for giving – it might make you sad.
Giving is never bad.
