Meet Duchess! She is a beautiful calico cat who belongs to the Hoskin family. She was brought into the family when she was just a kitten, coming from their grandparents’ house. They had to rehome Duchess because she kept chasing and attacking their chickens. She is now about 13 years old and is very spoiled. She is their only female pet and their oldest pet as well. Duchess is Hannah’s best friend. She is not very friendly with strangers, but once she gets used to people, she can be very affectionate. She is an indoor–outdoor cat, but when the weather turns cold she stays inside. She loves to hunt for mice and snakes, and when she catches them she leaves them in the carport.
