The Student Council held a Christmas event for the community on Saturday, December 6th. This event included a bake sale, glitter tattoos, pictures with Santa and the Grinch, coloring sheets, and the movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas was played in Colbert Gym. Kids who attended could get complimentary popcorn and hot chocolate at the concession stands while the movie was played.
The Student Council was able to hold their first fundraising bake sale, this year which many were excited about. Each member was asked to bring some homemade treats which could be sold to kids and parents that attended. There were many things made such as cookies, brownies, rice krispy treats, chocolate-covered pretzels, and many other treats. There are still many left over goodies from the bake sale which are being handed out at A & C lunch. If you didn’t attend the event, stop by the Student Council’s table during lunch to get something from the bake sale.
The Student Council hopes to make this an annual event so if you didn’t get to attend this year, we encourage you to stop by next year. A huge thank you to the Student Council for hosting this event.
