Emily Gruenewald I am a senior at Chester High School. I am the vice president of Art Club. I am in band, swing choir, and concert choir. I am going to go to SIUE or SEMO for social work. I always wanted to help children and with my future I can.
This poem is about my biggest dream is to wake up and have a white Christmas. My favorite season is winter or fall because to me they are the prettiest seasons. I want the readers feel my dream and how a child will get a dream.
Dreaming
Dreamn’t of a white Christmas
But Christmas was always listless
Praying to see snow
The chances are low
The child in me
Screams with glee
That the prayers have worked
The snow might lurk
The child in me
Will her dream be free
Dreaming of a white Christmas
