January’s teacher of the month is Ms Bartley. She teaches Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Advanced Algebra at CHS, she has also taught a music class at Perryville. Over the years, Bartley realized her favorite part of teaching is getting students to understand her lessons.

Like most teachers, Bartley has had some regrets in her teaching career. One of these regrets was not making a lot of money teaching. That is why Bartley’s advice to the youth who wants to become a teacher is to marry a partner with a high-paying job. Bartley herself always wanted to become a teacher when she was young, whenever her friends would play school, she was always the teacher.

At the end of the interview, Bartley said her inspiration in life was her parents who raised nine children. I think anyone could take inspiration from something that challenging!
