Album #1: Vicious Delicious by Luvcat
Favorite Song: “Lipstick”
Notes: Luvcat’s musical style reminds me a lot of the gothic sound of the alternative band She Wants Revenge, mixed with the femininity of artist Lana Del Rey. This interesting combination creates a vibe that feels as though it was ripped straight out of a Tim Burton film. It’s amazing for being Luvcat’s debut album and truly sets up a hopeful career for her.
Album #2: So Close To What??? (Deluxe) by Tate McRae
Favorite Song: “Sports Car”
Notes: This album is amazing from start to finish. Tate McRae’s upbeat style with the danceability of the music creates a fun atmosphere about love, self-respect, and freedom. This was my first introduction to McRae’s music after she has blown up on the pop scene, and it did not disappoint. I loved this and highly recommend it.
Album #3: Swallow the Knife by Sir Chloe
Favorite Song: “Forgiving”
Notes: Swallow the Knife has a different tone compared to Sir Chloe’s other music. I noticed that I did not enjoy this album as much as her other work. I had such high expectations for it, but it just fell flat. I do recommend Sir Chloe as an artist and her other music, but not this specific album.
