Congratulations to our senior girls on their Senior Night victory over Red Bud on February 5. Seniors Lexi Mott, Lillian Diskey, Aubrey Coleman, Natalie Gueterslosh, Riley Lochhead, and Jessica Stumpe took the court with determination, ending their final home game with a hard-earned win and plenty of smiles.
Lexi Mott started playing basketball in third grade. Mott wanted to play because the sport sounded fun to her and she enjoyed playing with friends. She has been playing for ten years for the love of the game.
Lillian Diskey started playing basketball in fourth grade. Diskey wanted to play with her friends and has had a lot of fun over the years. She has been playing for nine years.
Riley Lochhead started playing basketball in fifth grade. Lochhead wanted to play with her friends, and the team encouraged her to play more. She has always loved basketball and wanted to keep improving.
Jessica Stumpe started playing basketball in third grade. Stumpe chose to play because her mom and aunt loved the sport and encouraged her to try it. She has been playing for nine years, making many fun memories with her teammates.
The victory over Red Bud served as a fitting tribute to a group of athletes who have dedicated years to the Chester basketball program. By playing with the same passion they discovered as young girls, these seniors ensured their final home appearance was one to remember. The Chester community congratulates Lexi, Lillian, Aubrey, Natalie, Riley, and Jessica on their hard-fought careers and wishes them the very best as they carry that same determination into their future endeavors.
