Hi I’m Katelynn and I love to write. I’ve been trying out poems lately and I’ve found they can be pretty cool.
This poem is near and dear to my heart, so I hope it makes you feel something. Feel free to interpret it however you like so you can relate.
Ghost of Your Love
The ghost of your love haunts me
He whispers sweet nothings in my ear
Before nearly beating me to death with the cold reality
He thrashes me around
Throwing me from wall to wall
Kicking me to the ground
Pulling out my hair
Completely exhausting me
My face becomes soaked in tears of acceptance
As I attempt to gain control of my pain
By hurting myself
But this pain brings me a sense of comfort
It reminds me of your love
Your sharp stinging love
Your beautiful, addictive love
Your love others say isn’t love at all
But if it comes from you,
I know it must be true.
