The Chester boys’ golf team won the Chester Invitational Tournament Sept. 5 for the first time in 4 years.

Jarret James was low medalist with a score of 70. Jaden Mott finished in fourth place with a score of 80. Chett Andrews finished in fourth place with a score of 83. Kaden Freytag 93, Chance Mott 98, Luke Miller 99. The team score was 326.

Chester golf hosted their last home match on Sept. 10. The ladies played against Sparta. Sam Eggemeyer was leading with 51, Alyssa Place 57, Maddie Hasemeyer 64, Emma Hathaway 65, Kayla Bert 65, Jocelyn Landeros 71, and Madeline Young 77. The team score was 237. Sparta’s team score was 227, but only consisted of 4 players. 

The boys defeated Sparta and Murphysboro. Jarret James leading again with a 35, Chance Mott with a new best of 42, Jaden Mott 43, Chett Andrews 43, Kaden Freytag 45, Luke Miller 51, Clayton Andrews 53 (JV), Reed Welborn 59 (JV), Brock Vasquez 60 (JV).
