Chester improved to 2-2 in the Trico Tournament after downing Sparta and Trico Wednesday night.

Chester avenged its lone conference loss when it beat Trico 21-15, 21-23, 15-7.

“Trico always gives us a good match!” Coach Norman said. “We were starving for that win after being defeated by Trico in the Marissa Tourney and at our home opener. Our serving gave us an awesome advantage, and our middle backs did a tremendous job keeping the ball up!”

Chester defeated Sparta 21-19, 24-22.

Chester began play in the Trico Tournament Tuesday and lost to Marissa and Okawville.
Chester was defeated by Marissa in three, 21-16, 15-21, 14-15.
“Marissa is a solid, consistent team, ” Coach Norman said. “They are well coached and came out on top. Chester started the match strong, but didn’t win the race in the 3rd set. ”
