Chester Falls To Trico

Chester lost its chance of sharing the conference lead with Trico. when it lost a road match at Trico 25-18, 25-20.
“Chester simply gave up points with missed serves and attack errors,” Coach Norman said. “It wasn’t our night, I guess. Trico played solid and consistent, and well, that’s what it takes to win games.”

Chester beat Steeleville 19-21, 21-16, 15-14 to take third in the Trico Tournament.

“Steeleville gave us a tough match, but we were again able to serve well and kill the ball when needed,” Coach Norman said.

Chester defeated Valmeyer 25-19, 25-22 at  Valmeyer.
“Tonight’s goal was to get everyone in the game,” Coach Norman said. “We did that and were still able to get the W in two sets! At one point we were down 16-7, but we battled back to take the win. Valmeyer played well, keeping us on our toes. Always a fun atmosphere to play in, too!”

Chester won its homecoming game with a win against Sesser  20-25, 25-18, 25-17.
“We had a packed house and we’re able to take BIG conference win against a great defensive team,” Coach Norman said. “Lauryn Vasquez came in clutch at the end of the 3rd set earning 4 back to back points with 3 aces in a row and a kill to top it off. Kendall Williams played hard and stayed consistent in every play, sealing the deal with an ace to win the game. Great night for Chester volleyball!”
