Mario Kart Tour Review

A new game is taking the mobile gaming scene by storm. That game, if you have not heard of because you have been living under a rock for the past 24 hours, is Mario Kart: Tour. The game brings all of the joy of racing in a Mario Kart game and the portability of mobile games. The game has a ranking system that is interesting and new.  Driving is automated, but the steering is drag controls or manual. You will only experience the coolness of the game if you join the game now. The one downside, which is not a true downside as it is small and trivial matter, is that you must either sign-in with, or create, a Nintendo account. There are three different difficulties: 50cc’s is the easy difficulty, 100cc’s is the medium difficulty, and 150cc’s is the hard difficulty. There is a premium difficulty which is 200cc’s which is the hardest difficulty. However, the only way to unlock the 200cc’s is to pay for the subscription “Gold Pass.” The “Gold Pass,” is $5.99 per month. Yes, you heard correctly. $5.99 per month. The ranking system is basically wonky. Basically, a random cup becomes the ranked cup, and you are randomly paired with 19 other players. Your rank is determined by the max number of points you have for that cup at the current moment.
