Chester Posts Road Win Over Sesser

Chester had Ethan Bert and Jordan Merideth both gain over 100 yards each as it defeated Sesser-Valier-Waltonville 41-20 Oct. 11 at Sesser.
Ethan Bert scored on a 33-yard pass from Dylan Kelkhoff and added an extra two touchdowns, one for 3 yards and the other for 6, as he rushed 18 times for 129 total yards. Jordan Merideth had a 53-yard TD run among his three scores as he gained 126 yards on nine carries. Jared Landeros went 5 for 6 on extra points at the game. On the defensive side of things, Isaac Jany had a fumble recovery and Ethan Bert also had an interception. Ethen Eggemeyer led the team in tackles with 5 solo tackles and 2 assist
Chester improves to 5-2 on the year. The Jackets host Carmi Friday on Senior Night. A win guarantees a third straight playoff appearance.
