Christmas Concert Performed

The Chester High School Concert Choir performs “Looking for the Light” during the Christmas concert on Dec. 18.

The Chester High School Holiday Concert was held Wednesday, Dec. 18.
The concert was originally scheduled Monday, but was rescheduled due to inclement weather.

The Swing Choir sang “We Need a Little Christmas,” “Run, Rudolph, Run,” “Please Come Home for Christmas,” and “All I Want for Christmas is You.” Mallary Vasquez was soloist for “Run, Rudolph, Run.” Blake Zappa, set to play the title role in the upcoming production of Shrek, was soloist for “Please Come for Christmas.” Alison Venus was soloist for Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You.”

The band played “Child of Bethlehem,” “Joyful Rose of Winter,” “Christmas in a Nutshell,” and closed the concert with “Sleigh Ride.”

Opening the concert was Concert Choir, singing “Do You Hear What I Hear,” “Gloria,” “Let it be Christmas,” and “Looking for the Light.” Lydia Heck and Jenna Bierman were soloists on “Looking for the Light.”

A collection was also taken for the Chester Food Pantry.
