After seeing its 12-game winning streak end in a one-point loss at Sesser, the Lady Jackets rebounded in impressive fashion with a 65-48 win over Trico on Jan. 30.

The win improved Chester to 23-5, 5-3 in the Black Diamond Conference.

Destiny Williams led Chester with 17 points and Alyssa Seymour scored 15. Kendall Williams was also in double figures with 12 p Reese Chandler scored eight points and Trinity Brown Six. Josie Katenbraker and Ashlyn Colvis scored two each.

The Lady Jackets are the third seed in the Carterville sub-sectional. Nashville is seeded first and Freeburg second. Pinckneyville is seeded fourth behind Chester.

Chester is in the Columbia Regional with second-seed Freeburg. The Lady Jackets play the winner of the DuQuoin-Althoff game in the semi-final game at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 11. The winner advances to the regional title game at 7 p.m. on Feb. 13.
