The Chester cross country teams hosted the Chester 7 meet Sept. 21 at Randolph County Lake.

The Chester boys placed fifth with 115 points. Christ Our Rock won with a 41, followed by Vienna 44, Columbia 52, Valmeyer 104 and Chester.

Logan Gregory cracked the top ten with a 20:06. He was followed by Jordan Hughes, 18th, 21:38; Jacob Handel, 28th, 24:09; Trace Fricke, 29th, 24:12; and Blake Huffman, 30th, 24:16.

The girls took fourth with 87 points. Vienna won with 38, followed by Christ Our Rock 40, Columbia 57 and Chester.

Josie Kattenbraker was 13th in a time of 27:04. She was followed by Madison Kribs, 14th, 27:07; Hannah Blechle, 19th, 29:14; Josalyn Anaya, 20th, 29:24; and Amelia Shemonic, 21st, 29:27.
