The Chester cross country teams competed at Goreville Sept. 22 with the girls finishing second and boys sixth.

For the boys, Logan Gregory finished eighth in a time of 18:33. Jordan Hughes was 20th in a time of 19:44. Jacob Handel finished 27th in a time of 20:37. Trace Fricke was 31st at 21:17 and Blake Huffman was 32nd in a time of 21L49.

Josie Kattenbraker led the girls with a 13th place finish in a time of 25:00. Hannah Blechle took 15th in a time of 25:47. Madison Kribs was 19th at 26:22. Josalyn Anaya was 20th at 28:31 and Amelia Shemonic was 21st at 32:15.

The boys ran at East Alton on Sept. 24. Chester took first as a team.

Gregory was sixth in 15:28.
