During the most recent FFA meeting, it was announced the Community Service Project was taking place on Feb 17. Through the month of February, FFA members are making cut-out Valentine’s Day cards to deliver to the Manor At Craig Farm.

They also discussed their annual Public Speaking contest on Feb. 17, which due to COVID is virtual. Each individual member can participate in three different categories: Creed speaking, which the individual is given a prompt and asked a few questions; Prepared speaking, which the participant has prepared a prompt and recites it; and Extemporaneous speaking, where the member is given thirty minutes with a random prompt to research and then must announce the speech within that time.

National FFA week is Feb. 20-24. This national event is held to promote FFA worldwide, and some events that will be for that week will include hay bale toss, kiss the animal, dress up days, and more ideas in the future.
