Chester Girls Beat Goreville, Sesser

The Lady Jackets won their home game March 2 against Goreville, 47-23.
Reese Chandler led the team scoring 19 points. She was followed by Camrynn Howie and Kailyn Absher, both with 8. Alyssa Seymour scored 5, Kendall Williams 4, and Camryn Luthy 3.
From the start the girls controlled the game, leading by 19 points by the first half. They didn’t stop there because they scored an additional 21 by the end of the game.

The Chester Lady Yellowjackets beat Sesser 60-54 at home March 1.

Three of the girls scored in the double digits. Leading was Kendall Williams with 25 points, Reese Chandler 14, and Alyssa Seymour 11. Camrynn Howie scored nine points and Kailyn Absher 1.
Out of the gate the girls led the game, scoring 19 points in the first quarter and keeping that lead until the end.

Chester bid adieu to five seniors Feb. 25, losing to Trico 62-53.

Seniors Reese Chandler, Kendall Williams and Josie Kattenbraker were all in double figures on Senior Night. Chandler scored 17, Williams 16 and Kattenbraker 13.  Alyssa Seymour tallied three points and Camrynn Howie and Kailyn Absher netted two points each.

Other seniors honored prior to the varsity game were Katie Shinabargar and Peyton Clendenin.

Josie Kattenbraker had 13 points against Trico.

The Lady Jackets lost their home game against Gibault 47-43.
Three of the girls ended up in the double digits Alyssa Seymour 14, Reese Chandler 13, and Kendall Williams 12. Katie Shinabarger scored 4.
The girls fought hard, keeping pace with Gibault.
