NHS Developing Food Pantry

Classes Asked For Donations

Lily Koch, Associate Editor

The National Honor Society (NHS) is hosting a food drive April 19-23 to create a food bank for those who are less fortunate at Chester High School.

Items that are acceptable to donate are Biscuit Mix, Peanut butter, Jelly, Gravy mix, Ramen noodles, Instant potatoes, Mini bags of chips and cookies, Granola bars, Box meal kits, Mini muffins/doughnuts, Canned ravioli, Fruit snacks, Canned fruit, Fruit cups, and Canned soup.

The NHS asks that you turn in your items to your first hour teacher. The class who brings the most items will win a prize. This is a collaborative effort between the NHS and Mrs. Wolters in hopes to help those who may not have enough at home.

“I hope that this will allow those who need the help to receive food without judgment,” said Mrs. Durbin, NHS sponsor. Please consider bringing in food and maybe your class will win a prize and help those in need.
