Chester suffered an unfortunate loss against Johnson City last Friday, March 26. The final score was 32-15.
The game was played at Johnston City and Chester was the away team.
Two touchdowns were scored by Chester in the game.
In the first quarter, a trick play led to a six-yard touchdown pass from halfback Nathan Heffernan to Cooper Eggemeyer. Quarterback Dylan Kelfhoff handed off to Jordan Merideth, who handed the ball to Heffernan on a reverse. Heffernan then found Eggemeyer in the end zone. After the touchdown, Jared Landeros walked onto the field to kick a successful extra point.
Later in the game, Junior Jordan Merideth had a 20-yard TD run.
This was a sad loss, but the team is keeping their head up for this week’s road game against Vienna.
