After a two-hour drive, the Chester football team had an unbelievable win against Carmi-White County, posting a 39-16 victory.

Six touchdowns were scored in the game.

In the first quarter, Cooper Eggermeyer had a 29-yard pass from Ethan Stumpe, followed by a Jared Landeros extra point kick. Before the second half, Cooper Eggermeyer had another 39-yard pass reception from Stumpe, scoring a touchdown. Jordan Merideth scored two touchdowns before the end of the second quarter. His receiving TD came on a 40-yard pass play from Stumpe. He also scored a 20-yard run. In the fourth quarter, Cooper Eggemeyer scored on a 5-yard pass from junior Ethan Stumpe. The last score was made by Aiden Kennon, who had a 29-yard run into the endzone.

After a 4-1 record, the Yellow Jackets look forward to the seniors’ last game of the year. The team will go against Christopher-Zeigler-Royalton this Friday, April 23.
