The Chester Lady Yellow Jackets took the lead late and defeated Okawville 6-4 on April 26.

Down 3-2 in the top of the fifth inning, Camryn Luthy doubled in two runs.
In the first inning, Ashlyn Colvis doubled in a run. Kylie Fortner singled in a run in the third. Kinsli McCartney and Emma Murphy had Chester’s other RBIs.
Emma Eggemeyer went seven innings for the win, allowing four runs on three hits, striking out six and walking zero.
Colvis, Elaina Lutman, and Eggemeyer all had multiple hits for Chester. Anna Childs also had a hit.
A strong pitching performance by Emma Eggemeyer and a steal of home plate led Chester to a 1-0 win over Carlyle in extra innings.
Eggemeyer got the win for Chester Yellow Jackets Varsity. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on five hits over eight innings, striking out five.
Elaina Lutman, Eggemeyer, and Ashlyn Colvis each collected one hit to lead Chester.
Chester scored the winning run in the eighth. Kylie Fortner walked and went to third on a single by Lutman.  After Lutman stole second base, Fortner stole home.
Chester Yellow Jackets Varsity notched four runs in the fifth inning. Chester Yellow Jackets Varsity’s big inning was driven by a single by Kourtney Welten, an error on a ball put in play by Ashlyn Colvis, and a double by Camryn Luthy.
Seven errors proved costly in a 10-7 loss to Benton on April 13.

Lutman had three hits and two stolen bases. Emma Eggemeyer had a double and single. Colvis had two hits. Camryn Luthy had a double and an RBI. Welten had a hit and two RBIs. Kinsli McCartney had a hit and an RBI.

Colvis started and took the loss.

Chester lost to Waterloo 8-3 on April 22.

Emma Eggemeyer took the loss for Chester Yellow Jackets Varsity. The hurler lasted six innings, allowing seven hits and eight runs while striking out three.
Whitney Sulser, Lutman, Anna Childs, Colvis, and McCartney all had hits. McCartney had an RBI.

Chester lost to Red Bud 7-2 on April 28.

Lutman had two hits and five stolen bases. Fortner had a double, single and a stolen base.  Childs had a single and a stolen base.
Eggemeyer took the loss for Chester. The hurler lasted seven innings, allowing eight hits and seven runs while striking out nine. She also walked and stole a base.

Chester lost to Trico 17-0 on May 2.

Fortner and Lutman had Chester’s hits.
