Ashlyn Colvis threw a no-hitter against Sparta.

Ashlyn Colvis was brilliant on the rubber on May 3, throwing a no-hitter to lead the Chester Lady Yellow Jackets to a 10-0 win over Sparta.
Chester had a 2-0 lead before erupting for five runs in the fourth inning. Elaina Lutman, Emma Eggemeyer, and Anna Childs each had RBIs in the inning.
Colvis was credited with the victory for Chester Yellow Jackets Varsity. The pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking one.
Eggemeyer and Lutman both had two hits and three RBIs each. Eggemeyer notched a double and Lutman stole a base.

Kylie Fortner had a hit and two RBIs. Childs had a hit, RBI and stolen base. Emma Murphy had a hit and a stolen base. Kourtney Welten and Kinsli McCartney each had hits and Camryn Luthy stole a base.

Chester was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Murphy had the most chances in the field with six.

Chester defeated Ste. Genevieve 10-4 on May 4.

Chester put up four runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was driven by a single by Lutman, an error on a ball put in play by Eggemeyer, and a double by Fortner.
Eggemeyer was credited with the victory, going six and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on five hits, striking out three and walking one.
Fortner and Eggemeyer had two doubles and an RBI each and Childs had a single, double and RBI. Lutman had a single and an RBI. Camryn Luthy had a single and two stolen bases. Colvis also had a hit.

Despite a 5-run deficit in the sixth inning, Chester almost came all the way back, eventually falling 9-7 to Wesclin on May 9.
Chester Yellow Jackets Varsity was right in it until Wesclin doubled in the sixth inning.
Trailing 3-1, Chester took a 4-3 lead in the sixth. Wesclin responded with six runs in the bottom of the inning.
Chester scored three runs in the seventh inning.
Eggemeyer took the loss for Chester, allowing seven hits and nine runs over five and a third innings, striking out four.
Lutman and Colvis each collected two hits to lead Chester. Colvis drove in three runs. Fortner and Luthy had Chester’s other hits.
