Berner Signs With CFL Champs

Jordan Berner, an CHS Alumni, has signed a contract to play for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League.

He finished seventh place in SIU school history in sacks and fifth in fumble recoveries. He ended his SIU career with 17.5 sacks and 144 tackles. In high school, he was an all state honoree, two-time all south selection, two-time team MVP, named Black Diamond Conference Player of the Year in 2014 and 15, had 310 tackles, and nine incepted passes. He holds the record for the most interceptions in a season, in a career, and tackles in a career for Chester High School. As well as playing football, Berner also played baseball and basketball in his high school career.
