The Chester Lady Yellow Jackets ended their season with a 5-1 loss to West Frankfort in the regional opener May 16.

Emma Eggemeyer took the loss for Chester, going six innings and allowing five runs on seven hits, striking out seven and walking zero.
Kylie Fortner led Chester with a double, single and three stolen bases. Kinsli McCartney and Alexis Eggmeyer had Chester’s other hits. Ashlyn Colvis walked twice and stole two bases.

Chester easily dispatched Sparta 20-2 on May 11.
Chester scored six runs in the first inning and added another six runs in the third inning. Emma Eggemeyer, Ashlyn Colvis, Whitney Sulser, Kourtney Welten, and Elaina Lutman powered the big third inning with RBIs.
Eggemeyer was the winning pitcher for Chester. Eggemeyer went four innings, allowing two runs on one hit, striking out six and walking zero. Colvis threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Eggemeyer stole six of Chester’s stolen bases, including a steal of home. She also had a single, double and four runs scored.

Colvis, Kinsli McCartney, and Lutman also had multiple hits for Chester. Colvis had two doubles, a single, three RBIs and five stolen bases. Kinsli McCartney had two doubles and three RBIs. Lutman had two hits and three stolen bases. Welten had a double, two stolen bases and two RBIs. Kylie Fortner had a single, two RBIs and two stolen bases. Luthy had a single, RBI and two stolen bases. Camryn Luthy had a single, RBI and two stolen bases. Emily Heinemeyer had an RBI and Anna Childs stole a base.

Chester lost to Trico 3-2 victory on May 14.

The game was tied at one in the top of the seventh when Elaina Lutman doubled. Fortner singled in the go-ahead run. Three errors in the bottom of the inning, however, allowed Trico to scratch out a win.
Chester scored in the first inning when Ashlyn Colvis tripled home Lutman, who had reached on a single.
Emma Eggemeyer took the loss for Chester, surrendering only three unearned runs on four hits over six and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking zero.
Lutman led Chester with a double, two singles and a stolen base. Emma Murphy had two hits, and Camryn Luthy also singled and stole a base.

Chester lost to Anna-Jonesboro 16-4 on May 13.

Colvis led Chester with a double, two singles and a stolen base. Lutman had a double and single, and Luthy had a double and an RBI. Fortner had a single and an RBI, and Murphy and Kourtney Welten also had hits. Eggemeyer drove in a run and took the loss.
