Registration Underway For Medical Explorers

Chester Memorial Hospital is taking applications for its Medical Exploring Program.
Mariah Bargman, the hospital’s media specialist, said applicants must be 14-21 years of age and their GPA must be at least a 3.0.
You can fill out an application to join this program at the hospital. There will be an open house and registration from 4-6 p.m. on August 24 in the conference room. The latest to turn in your application is September 2, 2022.
What do they teach at the Pathfinders Program? They teach all kinds of things about the hospital support staff, the pharmacy, nursing, the operating room nursery, laboratory, cardiopulmonary, diagnostic imaging, specialty providers, therapy and sports rehab, the rural health clinic, EMT and first responders, Air EMT services, and other healthcare organizations.
There will be a limited number of students accepted. Applicants will be notified of acceptance the first week of September. Students are required to attend 75% of the Post meetings/events. Students are required to complete 4 hours of volunteer time during the program duration. These hours can be at Memorial Hospital or in the community. More details will be provided at the first meeting.
Students are encouraged to participate in Memorial Hospital community events including: Health Fairs, Youth Education Events, Blood Drives, and Parades.
