The Chester Yellow Jackets were very excited for their first game of the year but sadly they came out with a 26-0 loss at Du Quoin.
Quarterback Zain Al-Jassim passed for 9 yards, and Will Schuwerk ran for 39 yards. Kolton Jany rushed for 19 yards.
The offense struggled,but the defense thrived. Trenton Eggemeyer had 5 total tackles, including 2 tackles for a loss and 1 sack. Gage Hopkins had 4 tackles, including one for a loss, and Koby Jany had 3 tackles and 3 assisted tackles.
Chester hosts Benton Friday in its home opener. Benton is also 0-1.
