Coffman Medals In Sparta Meet

Gabe Coffman placed fifth at Sparta.

Gabe Coffman earned a medal as Chester competed in the Sparta JH/HS Invitational Sept. 13 at the World Shooting & Recreational Complex.

Coffman took fifth as the Chester boys finished seventh. Jacob Handel placed 16th, Blake Farmer 17th, Gavin Wilderman 40th and Ivan Hobbs 47th. Also running for Chester were Drew Wilderman (48) and Will Welge (50).

The Chester girls did not have enough runners to earn a team score.

Addie May was 34th to lead Chester. She was followed by Mckenzie Deimund (37), Josalynn Anaya (42) and Rylie McDonough (43).

Chester also ran in the John Campbell Invitational Sept. 15 at Du Quoin.

The boys finished seventh with 142 points, two behind New Athens. Pinckneyville won the meet.

Coffman led Chester with a 13th-place finish. Farmer placed 21st, Handel 27th, Gavin Wilderman 52nd and Hobbs 57th.

May finished 38th to lead the Chester girls.

Deimund placed 42nd, McDonough 46th and Anaya 47th.

Chester also ran in the Nashville Invitational Sept. 19.

The boys finished eighth out of 14 teams with 230 points. Pinckneyville won the meet.

Coffman led Chester with an 11th-place finish. Farmer placed 26th, Handel 33rd, Hobbs 109th and Gavin Wilderman 115th.

May finished 74th to lead the Chester girls.

Anaya placed 99th, Deimund 102nd and McDonough 106th.
Chester also ran in the Goreville Invitational Sept. 20.

The boys finished seventh out of eight teams with 141 points. Pinckneyville won the meet.

Farmer led Chester with a 14th-place finish. Handel placed 18th, Gavin Wilderman 42nd, Hobbs 48th, Drew Wilderman 53rd and Will Welge 56th.

May finished 12th to lead the Chester girls.

McDonough placed 16th and Anaya 18th.
Chester also ran in the Freeburg Invitational Sept. 24.

The boys finished 23rd out of 24 teams with 543 points.

Coffman led Chester with a 46th-place finish. Farmer finished 103rd, Handel placed 106th, Hobbs was 154th and Gavin Wilderman came in 167th.

May finished 103rd to lead the Chester girls.

Deimund finished 119th, Anaya 136th and McDonough 140th.

Chester also ran in the Carterville Invitational Sept. 26.

The boys finished 13th with 227 points.

Coffman led Chester with a 15th-place finish. Farmer placed 31st, Handel 48th, Hobbs 84th and Gavin Wilderman 88th.

Anaya finished 74th to lead the Chester girls.

May placed 82nd, Deimund 83rd and McDonough 85th.
