The Chester Yellow Jackets Boys’ Golf Team improved their record to 33-19 with a 2nd place finish at conference and wins over Vienna, Cobden, Trico, and Red Bud.

The Chester Yellow Jackets Boys’ Golf Team traveled to Anna-Jonesboro on September 15th to take on Vienna and Cobden. The Chester Boys shot a team score of (162) beating Vienna (209) and Cobden (228). Gage Hasemeyer medaled and led the Jackets with a round of 37, 2 over par (+2) Other Varsity Chester scores as followed, Chance Mott 40 (+5), Clayton Andrews 42 (+7), Noah Homan 43 (+8), Lucas Thompson 46 (+11), and Aidan Blechle 48 (+13).

The Chester Yellow Jackets Boys’ competed in their final home match of the year on September 19th, this also being Senior Night. The Chester Boys shot a team score of (162), beating Trico (166). Brock Naile of Trico was medalist with a round of 37, one over par, (+1). Seniors Chance Mott and Clayton Andrews led the Jackets with rounds of 38 (+2) Senior Gage Hasemeyer shot a round of 41 (+5) and another Senior, Aidan Blechle, shot a round of 47 (+11). Other Varsity Chester scores: Lucas Thompson 45 (+9) and Noah Homan 46 (+10) This was also the final home JV match. Evan Dunning led the JV squad with a round of 44 (+8), followed by Max Blechle 52 (+16) and Nick Coffey who beat his personal best with a round of 59 (+23)

The Chester Yellow Jackets Boys’ traveled to Governors Run in Carlyle on September 21st to compete in the Cahokia Conference Tournament. The Chester Boys shot a team score of (358), falling short of Okawville (341) but taking 2nd place overall. Dillon Teter of Okawville medaled with a round of 82(+10). The Chester Boys had 4 players finish in the top 15 and one all-conference finisher. Chance Mott of Chester shot a round of 84 (+12) putting him in 3rd place and a member of the all-conference team. Gage Hasemeyer finished 10th overall with a round of 90 (+18). Clayton Andrews finished 12th overall with a round of 91 (+19). Aidan Blechle placed 14th overall with a round of 93 (+21). Other Varsity scores as follow: Lucas Thompson 95 (+23) and Noah Homan 106 (+34)

The Chester Boys traveled to Red Bud on September 22. The Chester Boys shot a team score of (165), beating Red Bud (173). Chance Mott medaled and led the Jackets with a round of 39 (+4). Other Varsity Chester Scores as followed: Clayton Andrews 41 (+6), Noah Homan 42 (+7), Gage Hasemeyer 43 (+8), Aidan Blechle 44 (+9), and Lucas Thompson 50 (+15).
