Cancer survivors were recognized during Pink-out Night at the Chester-Okawville volleyball game.

The Lady Yellow Jackets swept Okawville Oct. 6 on Pink-Out Night at CHS.

The same night the volleyball team recognized cancer survivors and honored those who have died from the disease, the Lady Jackets improved to 3-4 in conference, 9-10 overall. It was a clean sweep as the varsity, JV and freshmen all won in two-game sets. The varsity won 25-15, 25-15.

Earlier in the week, the varsity defeated Steeleville 19-25, 25-10, 25-10 on Oct. 3.

Paige Vasquez had 13 kills, 10 digs, nine aces and one assist. Jordan Buskohl had ten kills, two blocks and two digs. Mabry Wingerter had 17 assists, six digs, three kills and a block. Ellen McCormick had 11 digs and four assists. Maggie Caby had three kills, two aces, two blocks and two digs. Elaina Lutman had 10 assists, two kills, two digs and an ace. Emma Eggemeyer had two digs, an ace and a kill. Paige Thomas had a dig and Erin Liefer had a kill.
