Lady Jackets Finish Conference Play 6-4

The Chester Lady Yellow Jackets finished conference play 6-4 after defeating Wesclin in two sets on Oct. 17.
Chester (14-12 overall) honors seniors with a home game against Marissa Oct. 18. Seniors Paige Vasquez, Maleia Absher, Paige Thomas and Emma Eggemeyer will be recognized.
The Lady Jackets posted a home win over Sparta on Oct. 11.
The Lady Jackets beat Red Bud 25-15, 25-20 to improve to 5-4 in conference, 11-10 overall.
The Lady Jackets played in the Monster Mash at Freeburg Oct. 15, finishing ninth.
In pool play, Chester lost to Mascoutah 25-17 and 25-18 and to Pinckneyville 27-25, 25-22.
In the ninth place semi-final, the Lady Jackets defeated Hillsboro 25-18, 25-17.
In the ninth-place game, Chester defeated Benton 25-18, 25-20.
Chester will also be hosting the regional tournament the week of Oct. 24.
