The Chester Yellow Jackets Boys’ Basketball team won their conference opener with a 34-29 win at Carlyle Dec. 5.

Devante Palacio led the Jackets (4-5) with 13 points. Lucas Thompson scored nine points, Chance Mott five and Gavin Schroeder four. Trace Fricke scored two points and Jacob Handel one.

The Chester Yellow Jackets Boys Basketball Team moved to a 4-5 record after a win against Carlyle, a loss against Okawville, and a loss against CORLHS.

The boys traveled to Okawville on December 9th. The Yellow Jacket Boys lost 41-35.

The Chester Yellow Jackets Boys traveled to Centralia for a non-conference game against Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School. The Yellow Jacket Boys lost 57-33.

The Jackets went 2-2 in the Murphysboro-Trico tournament.
Chester opened play against Murphysboro on Monday, November 28. Chester lost 53-36.
The Yellow Jacket boys were led in scoring by Devante Palacio with 14, followed by Trace Fricke with 6.

The Chester boys played their second game of the tournament against Harrisburg on Wednesday, November 30. Chester lost 52-42.
The Yellow Jackets boys were led in scoring by Trace Fricke with 14, followed by Devante Palacio with 11. Gavin Schroeder had 9 points, Chance Mott had 6, and Kolton Jany had 2.

The Yellow Jacket boys beat Lovejoy to go 1-2 in pool play. Chester, Lovejoy and Harrisburg all went 1-2, but Chester went to the seventh place game on a tiebreaker.
Chester defeated Trico for seventh place. Chance Mott led Chester with 16 points. Schroeder scored 12 points, Fricke ten, Palacio eight, Kolton Jany four, Lucas Thompson three and Cayden Brunkhorst two.
Devante Palacio was named to the all-tourney team.
