Day 8 – Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Notes: Good sound and unique style. I didn’t expect a change in language while listening, but I enjoyed it.
Favorite Song: River Euphrates

Day 9 – Dreamland by Glass Animals
Notes: A slow album with an electronic style and soft vocals. The album was underwhelming. There were only two songs that I truly enjoyed listening to.
Favorite Song: Helium

Day 10 – SOS by SZA
Notes: Not my taste, but for what it is, it is well made and does a good job explaining the themes. Phoebe Bridgers was a great feature.
Favorite Song: Kill Bill

Day 11 – Doom Days by Bastille
Notes: Great conveyance of its message, but it starts to feel like you are listening to the same song repeatedly. Sounds like Bastille’s other music. I would probably not listen to it again.
Favorite Song: Those Nights

Day 12 – Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
Notes: It is an older album from 1983, but it doesn’t sound like it’s 40 years old. Every sound emitted was intriguing. I wanted to further explore the band’s discography after hearing this album.
Favorite Song: Kiss Off

Day 13 – Demon Days by Gorillaz
Notes: Gorillaz has always been a sort of trendsetter with their music, and this album shows it. It is such a great mix of genres and the way they convey their songs’ message about environmental issues is even better. It is filled with classics like “Feel Good Inc” and “DARE.”
Favorite Song: El Mañana

Day 14 – emails i can’t send by Sabrina Carpenter
Notes: I am not one to like pop music too much, but this album was a bit of a surprise. I think I would even say I would listen to this album again. Carpenter’s way of telling her stories really grabbed my attention. Her voice was really nice to hear and fits the soft pop she goes for.
Favorite Song: (it is a tie): bet u wanna, because i liked a boy
