Mikayla’s Album-A-Day Challenge 9

Mikayla Straight, Sting Reporter

Day 57 – K-12 by Melanie Martinez
Notes: I like this album. It is similar to her other album I had listened to, great production, and meaningful lyrics, great voice. I would listen again.
Favorite Song: Teacher’s Pet

Day 58 – The Joshua Tree by U2
Notes: It was fine. Underwhelming. I got this album from a list of the greatest albums of all time, and this didn’t live up to my expectations.
Favorite Song: With Or Without You

Day 59 – Stranger In The Alps by Phoebe Bridgers
Notes: This was good—such a sad album. I really liked the tone, and her voice is beautiful. This was a great listen.
Favorite Song: Motion Sickness

Day 60 – Fine Line by Harry Styles
Notes: I really liked this album. Great instruments, loved loved the basslines. Great lyrics. Each song had such different vibes.
Favorite Song: She

Day 61 – cavetown by Cavetown
Notes: Good indie alt album. Like the tone. Good bass.
Favorite Song: Devil Town

Day 62 – Oncle Jazz by Men I Trust
Notes: This album was cute. Had great lyrics. It was a nice softer style of indie alternative music. After around four songs, they all started to sound the same.
Favorite Song: All Night

Day 63 – Smithereens by Joji
Notes: Mellow, slow, repetitive. It was fine at the beginning, but then each song started blending together a little too much. I couldn’t tell what song was what unless I looked; they were all too similar.
Favorite Song: Glimpse Of Us
