Lady Jackets Lose To Sparta In Regional

The Chester High School Yellow Jackets softball team ended its season with a 13-8 loss to Sparta in the first round of the Red Bud Regional.
The Lady Jackets finished the season 9-19.
Emma Eggemeyer led Chester with a home run, triple, three RBIs and a stolen base.
Emma Murphy had a hit and drove in two runs. Camryn Luthy had a hit and drove in two runs. Elaina Lutman had a hit, an RBI and stole two bases. Camryn Wolff had a hit. Kourtney Welten and Olivia Earl each stole a base.
The Lady Jackets suffered an 8-1 loss to Anna-Jonesboro on Friday.
Emma Eggemeyer took the loss for Chester Yellow Jackets Varsity. Eggemeyer surrendered eight runs on ten hits over six innings, striking out four and walking zero.
Kinsli McCartney and Camryn Luthy had hits for Chester.
The Lady Jackets suffered an 11-1 loss to Red Bud May 9.
Emma Eggemeyer pitched five innings for the Jackets, giving up eight hits and eleven runs. Camryn Luthy recorded the only RBI for the Jackets. Emma Eggemeyer and Kinsli McCartney each had one hit.

Emma Eggemeyer pitched two innings for the Jackets, giving up five hits and three earned runs. Lexie Mott pitched one inning, giving up eight hits and six earned runs. The other 13 runs scored by Murphysboro came off of errors made by the Yellow Jackets. Olivia Earl had both RBIs for the Lady Jackets.

Lexie Mott pitched all seven innings for the Jackets, giving up just two hits and zero earned runs. The only runs Ste. Gen scored came off of fielding errors by the Jackets. Elaina Lutman, Camryn Luthy, and Lexie Mott recorded the only hits for the Jackets.
The Chester Yellow Jackets Softball Team picked up a come-from-behind win vs New Athens, 8-4.
The Jackets were losing by a run heading into the fifth but scored four of their own to give them a lead that New Athens couldn’t catch up to. Lexie Mott pitched six innings for the Jackets, giving up seven hits and four runs. Emma Eggemeyer pitched one inning of relief, giving up one hit and zero runs. Elaina Lutman, Emma Eggemeyer, and Camryn Wolff all had two RBIs. Alexis Eggemeyer and Kourtney House each had one.

The Jackets started a game vs. Waterloo on Thursday, April 20, that was cancelled in the third inning due to inclement weather. Waterloo led 1-0 before the cancellation.

The Chester Yellow Jackets Softball Team lost 1-0 in a pitching duel vs Carlyle.

Emma Eggemeyer pitched all seven innings for the Jackets, giving up just three hits and allowing zero earned runs. The only run Carlyle scored was brought in was due to a fielding error. Emma Eggemeyer had two hits for the Jackets. Elaina Lutman, Camryn Wolff, and Camryn Luthy all had one.

The Chester Yellow Jackets Softball Team fell to 6-8 after a 6-2 loss to Wesclin. Chester played Wesclin close through four innings, but a two-run fifth inning gave the Warriors a lead that the Jackets were never able to gain back.

The Chester Yellow Jackets Softball Team picked up a win over Elverado, 14-0, on April 10.

Lexie Mott pitched the entire game for the Jackets, giving up just two hits and zero runs. The Jackets also dominated on the offensive side, scoring 10 runs in the second inning. Kinsli McCartney had two RBIs. Camryn Wolff, Emma Eggemeyer, Lexie Mott, Camryn Luthy, and Whitney Sulser all had an RBI each. Emma Eggemeyer, Camryn Luthy, Elaina Lutman, and Lexie Mott all had a stolen base.

The Chester Lady Yellow Jackets fell to 6-7 with a win over Sparta but a loss to Nashville.

The Lady Jackets picked up a 16-13 win against Sparta on April 11. Emma Eggemeyer pitched eight innings for the Jackets, giving up 10 hits and 13 runs. Alexis Eggemeyer and Emma Eggemeyer each had three RBIs for the Jackets. Elaina Lutman, Camryn Luthy, and Lexie Mott all had one.

The Jackets lost 8-4 against Nashville on April 12. The Jackets held the lead throught most of the game but a four-run inning from Nashville in the top of the fifth gave the Hornets a commanding lead. Lexie Mott pitched seven innings for the Jackets, giving up five hits and eight runs. Camryn Luthy, Emma Eggemeyer, and Kourtney House all had an RBI. Elaina Lutman had three stolen bases and Kourtney Welten had one.

The Chester Yellow Jackets Softball Team took down Gibault 16-6 on Wednesday, March 29th.

A big first two innings on the offensive end gave the Lady Jackets a 10-1 lead. Chester tagged gave up five runs in the third but added six more to their own total in the fifth and sixth innings giving them a short game victory.

Lexie Mott pitched four innings for the Jackets, giving up nine hits and five earned runs. Emma Eggemeyer followed with two innings herself, giving up zero hits and zero runs to close the game.

Elaina Lutman had a big game at the plate for the Jackets, going four for five with three RBI’s and three runs scored herself. Kourtney House recorded one hit and drove in three runs. Lexie Mott drove in two runs. Camryn Luthy, Alexis Eggemeyer, and Camryn Wolff all had two hits and an RBI each.

The Lady Jackets took a 2-0 loss to Okawville on March 30th. Emma Eggemeyer pitched six innings for the Jackets, giving up five hits and two earned runs. Alexis Eggemeyer recorded the Jackets only hit in this game.

The Lady Jackets looked to bounce back but took a 10-1 loss to Trico on April 1st. Lexie Mott pitched five innings for the Jackets, giving up nine hits and five earned runs. Alexis Eggemeyer recorded the only hit for the Jackets.

The Chester Yellow Jackets Softball Team battled from behind in a close game but ultimately came up short and lost to Red Bud 9-8.

Emma Eggemeyer pitched four innings for the Jackets, giving up seven hits and nine runs. Lexie Mott pitched three innings, giving up two hits and zero runs.

The Jackets tallied nine hits as a team. Lexie Mott had three RBIs, Emma Eggemeyer two, and Camryn Wolff had one.
