Memorial Hospital is taking applications for its Medical Explorer program.
Online applications are being accepted through Sept. 10 at https://www.mhchester.com/exploring. Applicants can also see Mrs. Wolter in Student Services.
Successful applicants will be notified by Oct. 9.
This program is for students in either high school or college, who are interested in any healthcare careers. In this program, students will have opportunities to learn about many careers in healthcare, participate in hands-on experience, and meet. professional Healthcare workers.
The program lasts for 9 months starting in October and lasting through May. They have meetings/events held on every third Thursday of each month in the hospital’s conference room unless indicated otherwise.
There will only be a limited number of people accepted into this program. If accepted, you will be notified no later than October 9th. Accepted students are required to attend 75 percent of the meetings/events and complete 4 hours of volunteer time at the hospital or in the community during this program. These students are encouraged to participate in the Memorial Hospital community events such as Health Fairs, Youth Education, Blood Drives, and Parades.

To qualify for this program, you must be between the ages of 14 and 21, your GPA must be 3.0 or higher (Bs), and complete resignation packet for 2020 to 2021.
