Leslie Asbury won medals in two track and field events at the Illinois Region K Special Olympics Spring Games on April 28 at the Herrin High School sports complex.
Asbury won a gold medal in the 100 meter run and a silver medal in the mini javelin throw.
Her Special Olympics team, Chester Champions, is coached by Mrs. Gonzalez and assisted by Ms. VanSant.
