Coffman Earns All-Conference Honors

Chester Ends Season At Regional

Gabe Coffman earned all-conference honors after finishing fifth in the Illinois Division race of the Kaskakskia Conference Cross Country Meet Oct. 15 at Salem.
Chester finished third as a team. Jacob Handel took 12th, narrowly missing the top ten and all-conference recognition. Blake Farmer was 15th, Ivan Hobbs 25th and Will Welge 26.
Addie May led the girls with a 15th place finish. Mackenzie Deimund finished 21st, Rylie McDonough 26th and Josalynn Anaya 27th.
The Yellow Jacket runners ended their seasons at the Carterville Regional on Oct. 22. The Jacket boys finished ninth. Pinckneyville won the regional.
Coffman finished 29th to lead Chester.
Handel placed 43rd,Farmer finished 63rd, Hobbs was 82nd and Welge placed 84th.
The Chester girls did not have enough runners to earn a team score.
May was 46th to lead Chester. She was followed by Deimund 56th,  Anaya 70th and McDonough 72nd.
The Yellow Jackets cross country teams hosted the Chester Invitational Sept. 29 at the Randolph County Lake.
The boys finished tenth with 218 points. Pinckneyville won both the boys’ and girls’ races.

Jacob Handel placed 33rd, Ivan Hobbs 72nd, Gavin Wilderman 74th, Drew Wilderman 89th and Will Welge 91st.

The Chester girls did not have enough runners to earn a team score.

Addie May was 35th to lead Chester. She was followed by Josalynn Anaya (58), Rylie McDonough (59) and Mackenzie Deimund (63).
The Yellow Jackets took fifth in the run at the Bud on Oct. 3 at Red Bud.
Coffman finished seventh to lead Chester.
Blake Farmer finished 11th, Handel 14th, Gavin Wilderman 36th and Hobbs 39th.

May was eighth to lead Chester. She was followed by Deimund 23rd,  McDonough 24th and Anaya 25th.
